Complete Recovery of your IT Infrastructure, data and operations with the familiar Clunk Click platform.

How does it work?

We take a Full System Backup of your physical server’s configurations and settings and Restore them into a Virtual Machine (VM) in our datacentre. This means that in the event of a disaster you have a pre-configured server ready to restore your data to.

Clunk Click Warm State DR

Warm State Disaster Recovery means that in a data loss scenario, we turn on the pre-configured VM and restore data from your latest Backup.

Warm State DR Costs

For Warm State Disaster Recovery, you will pay for your Backup storage, as well as a small monthly retainer fee for the target VM. As it's set up and ready to use, you will only pay the full cost of the VM when it’s in use (based on CPU/RAM/Disk).

​Clunk Click Hot State DR

Hot State Disaster Recovery means that the pre-configured VM is continually running. After each backup is completed, a copy will be placed onto your VM, meaning in the event of a disaster you can get your business up and running in no time at all.

Hot State DR Costs

For Hot State Disaster Recovery, you will pay for your Backup storage and for the cost associated with the use of the VM (based on CPU/RAM/Disk).

Azure Site Recovery

Protect Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware and physical servers by using Azure as your recovery site.

Automated protection and disaster recovery in the cloud

Protect your environment by automating the replication of the virtual machines, based on policies that you set and control. Azure Site Recovery can protect Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware and physical servers, and you can use Azure or your secondary data centre as your recovery site. Site Recovery coordinates and manages the ongoing replication of data by integrating with existing technologies, including System Center and Microsoft SQL Server AlwaysOn.

Automate the recovery of services

Use Site Recovery to automate the recovery of services when an outage happens at the primary site. Applications can be brought up in an orchestrated fashion to help restore service quickly, even for complex multi-tier workloads. Customise networks by mapping between the primary and recovery sites, and test disaster recovery plans whenever you want without disrupting the services.

Replication and disaster recovery to Azure

Replicate your workloads to Azure and enable new capabilities. Applications can be migrated to Azure with just a few clicks, or burst to Azure temporarily when you encounter a surge in demand. Run reports and analytics on copies of production workloads in Azure without affecting customers. Test new versions of applications with copies of live data, then seamlessly put the new version into production in your datacentre.

Continuous health monitoring with Site Recovery

Site Recovery monitors the state of your protected instances continuously and remotely from Azure. When replicating between two sites that you control, your virtual machines’ data and replication stays on your networks. All communication with Azure is encrypted. When replicating to Azure as the secondary site, your data is encrypted, and you can also select encryption for data at rest.

Hypervisor-Based Replication

Zerto offer Hypervisor-based Replication. By moving replication up the stack from the storage layer into the Hypervisor, Zerto deliver enterprise-class, virtual replication and Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery capabilities for the datacenter and the Cloud. At the heart of the replication technology are two key components:

The ZVM plugs directly into the virtual management console (e.g. VMWare’s VCenter), enabling visibility into the entire infrastructure. The ZVM is the nerve center of the solution, managing replication for the entire VSphere domain, keeping track of applications and information in motion in real time.

​Virtual Replication Appliance (VRA)

The VRA is a software module that is automatically deployed on the physical hosts. The VRA continuously replicates data from user-selected virtual machines, compressing and sending that data to the remote site over WAN links.

Key Differences with Hypervisor-based Replication

Because it is installed directly inside the virtual infrastructure (as opposed to on individual virtual machines), the VRA is able to tap into a virtual machine’s IO stream. Therefore, each time the virtual machine writes to its virtual disks, the write command is captured, cloned, and sent to the recovery site.

Unlike some replication technologies that primarily offer data protection along with cumbersome snapshots and backup paradigms, Zerto’s solution provides continuous replication with zero impact on application performance.

Hypervisor-based replication is fully agnostic to storage source and destination, natively supporting all storage platforms and the full breadth of capabilities made possible by virtualisation, including high availability, clustering, and the ability to locate and replicate volumes in motion.

Hypervisor Advantages

The ability to replicate at the correct level of any virtual entity, be it a single virtual machine, a group of virtual machines, or a virtual application (e.g. VMWare VApp).
