Microsoft 365

Workspaces and workforces are changing: we’re no longer sitting at our desks working off one device. Employees are demanding freedom with flexible multi device working which puts a unique pressure on IT to keep your company data and networks secure.

Microsoft 365 addresses this issue by bringing together productivity, management, and security capabilities in a single unified solution that is cost-effective, easy to manage, and built especially for the modern workplace.

Through a combination of Office 365, Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility and Security (EM+S), Microsoft 365 provides the full spectrum of built-in security defences as well as leveraging a number of services within Microsoft Azure. These include Identity and Access Management of your users allowing their granular permissions to access services and content, how users can authenticate, and real time detection of anomalies such as risk related location and device.

The security features in Microsoft 365 are really comprehensive, so we’re going to highlight a few of the most valuable ones. For a complete description, see the links at the bottom of the blog.

Microsoft 365 provides continuous protection against numerous different cyberthreats. For example, Advanced Threat Protection scans all links and attachments sent via email, and safely detonates them if they’re found to be unsafe.

Azure Information Protection allows you to control who can and can’t access company data, and allows you to retrospectively deny access to data as well. Microsoft 365 contains tools to detect, investigate, and respond to cyberattacks for persistent safeguarding of your information for its entire journey throughout your business.

This level of protection and control is carried right down to device level, providing you with the tools to effectively isolate and maintain the integrity of processes running on corporate- and employee-owned devices. Mobile Device Management allows the easy access of company data without sacrificing security or being intrusive on users’ devices, and has a remote wipe feature so if a device is lost or stolen, your company data remains safe.

Office 365 gives us phenomenal productivity and collaboration tools, but combined with the built in Security features of EM+S and Windows 10, as well as its simple, overarching management capabilities – Microsoft 365 really is the ultimate package.
